Joshua Tree — DJ / Producer / Curator
Joshua Tree is an American DJ, producer, and cultural curator whose performances blur the line between club ritual, psychedelic ceremony, and emotional storytelling. Known for weaving familiar anthems with deep underground selections, his sets span techno, house, ambient, breaks, and left-field electronica — always guided by a sense of narrative flow, tension, and release.
With over two decades of experience producing underground events and shaping nightlife culture, Joshua Tree has built a reputation for crafting immersive dance floor journeys that prioritize transcendence, connection, and collective experience over genre boundaries or trends. His performances emphasize energy, emotion, and a blooming sense of freedom, creating environments where audiences can dissolve into sound, movement, and shared presence.
After a five-year hiatus from public performance, Joshua returned in a radically grassroots fashion — busking modular synth performances on the streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This period of creative rebirth sparked the formation of FourFour SoundSystem, a roaming audio-visual collective dedicated to transforming unconventional spaces into vibrant dance environments. From abandoned buildings and outdoor locations to planetariums and intimate clubs, these events quickly became known for their depth, inclusivity, and powerful atmosphere.
Joshua is the owner and operator of Metro Grand Rapids, a West Michigan nightclub that has become a cornerstone of the region’s underground electronic music scene, hosting international touring artists, experimental showcases, and community-driven dance rituals.
In 2024, his live original performance at the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium sold out, marking a major artistic milestone. His debut EP, Music for Planetariums Vol. 1, released on Calder City Development Corp, captures this cosmic, immersive sound — blending ambient textures, melodic techno, and deep space atmospheres designed specifically for dome environments and altered perception.
Joshua Tree’s international presence continues to grow, including a recent debut in Berlin and ongoing European bookings. His sound resonates equally in intimate rooms and large-scale spaces, always anchored by emotional intelligence, deep musical knowledge, and a desire to guide audiences through transformative dance experiences.
At the heart of Joshua Tree’s work lies a simple philosophy:
the dance floor is a portal — and music is the key.
