Roberto Q. Ingram is an American-born DJ and producer based in Munich, Germany-a veteran of the electronic music scene whose journey from Soul Train dancer to European club circuit reflects a lifelong commitment to rhythm, movement, and authentic expression.

His entry into music began in Southern California's street dance scene, competing in breakdance competitions before earning a spot on Soul Train in 1981. Around that same time, watching DJ DST scratch for Herbie Hancock's "Rockit" sparked his interest in

DJing, and the connection between the dance floor and the decks became inseparable. By 1988, he was active in Los Angeles club culture, holding residencies at venues including Hollywood Palace, Spice, and The Mayan, spinning hip hop, R&B, soul, disco,

salsa, and neo-soul across Los Angeles and Orange County before transitioning into the underground house and electronic dance music scene. In 1995, he relocated to Germany, where he has spent three decades navigating the European electronic music landscape.

In Europe, defining moments followed-headlining Mayday Festival in '98 alongside Westbam and Carl Cox, holding a multi-year residency as headlining artist at Croatia's MTV Valkana Beach Festival in the early 2000s alongside Stacey Pullen, Kenny Larkin,

Sven Väth, and Richie Hawtin, appearances at Freerotation Festival (Wales), Panorama Bar/Berghain (Berlin) opening for Anthony "Shake" Shakir, Hospital Club (Khabarovsk, Russia), Casablanca (Celje, Slovenia), Ambasada Gavioli (Izola, Slovenia), and regular

bookings at Munich venues including Corleone Bar, Club Charlie (2005), Harry Klein (including the Inspiration:Soul residency with Markus Mehta), Rote Sonne, Die Registratur, and Palais Club.

As a producer, his discography includes Mayday: Save the Robots (Low Spirit, 1998), Rectus EP (Black Nation Records, 2000), This Is Yabada (Equator UK, 2001), Moody Water EP (Exun, 2003), Make'n Moves EP (Sector 616, 2003), contributions to Reflective EP (Disko Massaka, 2013), "Bae Bee Baba" on Corleone Dubs Vol. 3, and "Space Jackin"on the Frequency of Gods compilation (Calder City Development Corp. 2024). His collaborations with Berlin-

based Arttu Snellman on Matthew Herbert's Accidental Records include "Walking On A Fine Line" (2004), "Bass Trakk,"and"Debris," plus work with Alex Flatner on Jay Denham's Black Nation Records. Remix work includes DJ Linus' "Who Stole The

Soul?" (Exun, 2002), Water Seed's "Feel Like I Do" (Heartbeat Remix), and Sandra Gold & La Sash's "Low Banger" (Creeper Remix), with releases spanning Loot Recordings, Blue

Dye Records, Konsulat, Om Records, and Low Spirit. Vocal collaborations include Arttu Snellman's "Walking On A Fine Line" (Accidental Records, 2004), Wagon Cookin's "Come

Into The Light" (Om Records, 2011), and Jay Denham's "The World Is A Ghetto" (Black Nation Records).

Now in his sixties, Roberto approaches electronic music with openness rather than limitation. For him, genres are inspiration, not borders. His sets are deep, musical, and rooted in quality-fusing current sounds with timeless classics-always guided by feeling,

energy, and the natural flow of the music, taking people on a journey.

In 2009, what started as a practical solution—creating monthly DJ mixes for club promoters and radio shows—evolved into the Decisive Podcast Series. Originally calledInspiration Network, it began as a sharing platform for DJ friends but grew into something

deeper: an independent, multidisciplinary creative platform where music serves as the catalyst connecting diverse creative minds across disciplines, cultures, and fields.

The reality is simple: today's creative wears many hats—navigating production, promotion, social media, AI, and evolving platforms—all while protecting the artform itself. For Roberto, as host, founder, and producer, hearing how other creatives balance these

challenges while staying true to their artistic vision is both exciting and essential. These conversations document what it really takes to keep the art alive—not just the glamorous moments, but the honest, messy, inspiring reality of sustaining a creative practice.

Over 100 episodes-released as Roberto's busy schedule allowed—have featured voices spanning Detroit techno pioneer Donnell Knox (Sonic Mind label, Black Nation Records),

Berlin producer and Apollo Studio Berlin owner Tobi Neumann, Michigan producer and label owner Myles Sergé, entertainment industry powerhouse Dylan Berry (29 Platinum Records, Netflix SpyCraft, founder of Th3 Syndicate), Bulgarian techno artist and GAMA label owner Gabriella Vergilov, Leah Floyers, Electric Indigo, Sabine Hoffmann, singer-songwriter San2 and his band The Soul Patrol, Moondance Records label owner Pero Full house, plus visual artists, fashion designers, sound engineers, and entrepreneurs—all

united through their connection to music and the creative process. Episodes are available on SoundCloud and major podcast platforms.

Roberto also hosted the Decisive Radio Show on Munich's non-profit Radio 80000 for several years, further cementing his role in the local underground electronic music community.

Recent appearances include Roses and Love Ball charity event (2025), SubRosaDictum events (Avantgardista Aftershow Party, Hotel Lust in Bad Gastein, Austria), and Wannda Circus Open Air (Kink'd Up, 2025).

In 2026, Roberto launches RQI Sounds—a record label for his own music that embodies this same philosophy of openness and quality, providing a platform for releases that transcend genre boundaries and reflect decades of experience in electronic music culture.
